Eastern Christian School has been blessed with decades of visionary leadership, resulting in a strong institution with three thriving campuses. As our world needs Eastern Christian graduates more than ever, we are excited to expand our facilities to fully realize our mission. After prayerful planning, we’ve committed to adding six classrooms to our Wyckoff campus to serve our growing student body, eliminate space constraints, and create a seamless enrollment pathway from preschool to graduation. This addition fulfills a bold vision set in 1959 when the campus was designed to accommodate future growth. Now is the time to bring that vision to life, with construction set for completion in 2026. Capital Campaign Summary

The capital campaign quietly launched on September 1, 2024 and was publicly announced on April 4, 2025. It will end on August 31, 2027. There are two components:

1. Cash and pledges: $3 million goal
2. Estate commitments: $1.7 million goal
Total campaign goal: $4.7 million

This campaign has a goal of $3 million in cash and three-year pledges towards the building costs. Any difference between the actual costs and the donations received will need to be financed.

There is also an opportunity for individuals to leave the school in their will. This type of commitment is known as “an estate gift” or “a planned gift.” We seek planned gifts totaling $1.7 million as part of this campaign, for a total campaign goal of $4.7 million.

These planned gifts will be received in the future, as a bequest, most likely past the three-year campaign period. The Foundation office staff can provide language for you to use in your will, and it is always advisable to consult with an estate planning attorney and/or financial advisor to learn what is best for you and your family.

Lives Built on the Foundation

Since 1892, Eastern Christian has graduated thousands of individuals, with 6,297 alumni currently living and serving globally. Our graduates have scattered around the world, serving in a multitude of ways. This is our joy.

EC was a fantastic experience…One of the most meaningful things that I did at EC was going on a missions trip to Uganda. Some of my teachers who were particularly impactful were Mrs. Post and Mr. Verrengia. After earning Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Stevens Institute, I received a Medical Degree from Columbia University. I’m finishing up my medical training in plastic and reconstructive surgery now at Georgetown University Hospital, and I am subspecializing in upper extremity surgery in Charlotte, NC. EC will always have a special place in my heart.

There were teachers at EC who invested in me, and it made a world of difference in my life. The basketball coach Ray Vanderlaan played basketball with me, prayed with me, talked with me, and Miss Bloom (now Mrs. Manuela Lindemulder) prayed with me even though I was never in her class. When I saw her in 2014, she said she never stopped praying for me, even though she never knew where I was. Ever since I was saved, I love telling people about God’s love for them.

I would not be where I am today without the consistent support, which enabled me to overcome some challenges in my junior and senior year.
